I am certain that everyone at some point in their lives has used a No.2 pencil either to write notes, take tests in school or to make a mark on a wall to pinpoint where to drive the nail that will hold a family picture. We used the No.2 pencil in these instances because of the ability to erase what was written, marked or circled.
What if Bibles were printed using a No.2 pencil? For example, you are reading along in your daily devotions and you come across a verse that makes you uncomfortable because it says, "...you shall not..." Don't panic. Just whip out your trusty No.2 and erase the word "not" so that it reads, "...you shall..." Whew. Much better. Over a period of days and months, my No.2 Bible would be just the way I want it so long as my No.2 pencil is nearby. Granted, I wouldn't erase or change everything in my No.2 Bible as some of the text I agree with wholeheartedly. However, I might be tempted to completely erase a Bible story or account that I can't stomach or some passage that really doesn't apply to me so therefore, why have it in my Bible? I might even add to it with my pencil. How about this addition? Every Sunday afternoon is mandatory nap time for me and I am not to be disturbed.
Let me be clear. I would not change anything in the Bible - even if it is printed using a No.2 pencil. I believe that the Bible is the Word of God who gave us historical accounts, verses, rules to follow, encouragement and a way to enternal life because He loves us. The Bible is a blueprint for good, honorable, loving and healthy living. If we would just follow the Ten Commandments, would we need gun control? Would we have the breakdown of the family as we do now? Only you can answer those questions, but I hope you get my point.
We need to wake up and understand that most of the Amercian media, our culture and some of our fellow Americans are using their virtual No.2 pencils to rewrite and erase history, alter the words of God, change the existing rules and add new laws to the books. Why? All for the purpose of silencing and controlling the citizens of America because the State (givernmen knows better than you. Power = Silence + Control + Removal of Rights.

Very soon, old chapters previously written by our forefathers will be erased in favor of new ones. Just food for thought the next time you use your pencil's eraser.
