Thought - “There ought to be two distinct kinds of marriage: one governed by the State with rules enforced on all citizens, the other governed by the Church with rules enforced by her on her own members. The distinction ought to be quite sharp, so that a [person] knows which couples are married in a Christian sense and which are not." - C.S. Lewis.
Question – As a compromise, do you believe that government should recognize the joining of two parties as merely a contract, which is subject to governmental oversight, and at the same time, leave it up to churches to decide whether this union is defined as a marriage?
Believe.Act.Serve, like Jesus did.
